Available Now! - New eLearning Courses on Marijuana

posted on Jul 11, 2017
The Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) Program is excited to announce that all three self-paced eLearning courses on marijuana are now available on its National Classroom
In April, we launched the first course in a 3-part series: Marijuana Exposure in Pediatric Populations. We have now added the remaining courses in this series: Marijuana Use in Adolescent Populations and Marijuana Use in Perinatal Populations
With more states passing medical and recreational marijuana legislation, the risk perception associated with using marijuana is changing among of among adolescents and pregnant women. It is important for healthcare providers to enhance their knowledge regarding the health impacts of marijuana use among these vulnerable populations so they may provide informed guidance to their patients and caregivers.

These courses are FREE to all interested healthcare professionals, students, or other relevant occupations and qualify as continuing education by the Centers for Disease Control.

Be sure to visit the PEHSU National Classroom to access this course in addition to a variety of other pediatric environmental health courses and webinars. All of our offerings are FREE and address a variety of topics including air pollution, arsenic, climate change, and much more. Registration is quick and easy. Please contact Amanda Allen at amanda.allen@pehsu.net if you have any further questions regarding the National Classroom.
