posted on Jan 19, 2017
On January 9, 2017, President Obama honored 102 scientists and researchers as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). This is the highest honor given by the United States Government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research.
Catherine Karr, Professor at the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine and UW School of Public Health and Co-Director of PEHSU Region 10, was nominated by the US Department of Health and Human Services and was among of the recipients of the PECASE Award earlier this month.
Congratulations Dr. Karr!
