The goal of this activity is to enhance the knowledge of physicians and other healthcare providers about the health impacts of lead exposure at firing ranges and competitive marksmanship among adolescent populations.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss potential adverse health effects of lead exposure to adolescents.
  2. Describe measures to control lead exposure in firing range environments.
  3. Describe appropriate primary prevention and hygiene measures for youth actively engaging in marksmanship.
  4. Discuss recommendations for medical surveillance of adolescents exposed to lead.
