I have a colleague who is seeing a 13 yo patient who recently immigrated from China. Her family moved here in March and they presented to Dr. Bowen's office with a TIME magazine article (link included below). Apparently, the patient was a student at the school featured in this article with several hundred children exposed. There is a language and cultural barrier but as far as this pediatrician can tell the child looks well except for some alopecia. The article and anything I can find is very sparse on details of which chemicals were dumped. http://time.com/4298774/china-public-health-toxic-chemicals-pollution-jiangsu-changzhou/

They are having the PMD send a urine heavy metal screen (including thallium), blood lead, CBC and CMP.

Does anyone know of the chemicals found at this site so we know what to monitor for? I am trying to get more information on the length of any exposure, but my guess is that we won't know and it will get better.
